Sexton Mountain Lookout Tower

| This fire lookout tower is currently being constructed for the Oregon Department of Forestry. For this project we were given the opportunity to provide ODF with a 50’ tall replacement tower design that could significantly exceed the performance and life expectancy of the previous timber towers built by the three C’s in the 50’s and 60’s. This tower design is comprised of 90% steel construction with the exposed elements protected by a layer of galvanizing; a combination that will stand the test of time. The contractor for this project is Ausland Builders and has a budget of $350,000. |
